Jakob Müller AG – LAB1887

For LAB1887, Jakob Müller’s innovation and development lab in Frick, we supported the complete communication around the project. Besides producing the film, photography and portraits, we also conceptualized and designed the website, building it around the visuals we had created.

The challenge was to make a complex textile innovation environment accessible, personal and easy to understand. LAB1887 needed to stand apart from Jakob Müller’s corporate communication while still showing the depth, heritage and competence behind the company.

For the website concept, we combined serif and sans-serif typography as a visual symbol of the company’s long history entering a new era: one defined by openness, collaboration and closer work with customers. By integrating the Customer Center and focusing on practical support, we helped translate the purpose of the lab into a clear visual and verbal identity: a place where textile ideas can become reality.
